OMFG this is seriously one fantastically great read, when I heard Courtney was bringing another book out, it was one that I had to get my hands on.
Hanley is a strong alpha female that has her own agenda that nothing with stray her from.
Elias is a strong alpha male that lets nothing get in their way.
Put both of them together and you get some sizzling sensual scenes.
I absolutely love the way Courtney write and each book I read by her,just gets better and better. This is a story with darkness, twists and turns where you wont know where it is heading.
This is a read where you will start and page one and will have to carry on reading right to the end.
I for one cannot wait to see what Courtney comes up with next, I will be impatiently waiting.

Courtney Lane once again showcases her incredible talent for writing a suspenseful, erotically charged and gripping book in the form of Delusive. This book kept me addicted from start to finish with its intriguing plot, addictive writing style and one hell of a leading character who made me endure the full myriad of emotions whilst reading: anger, passion, grief, elation, pain and want!!
Hanley Harper is a woman driven with a need to avenge the actions against her family. Fuelled by a duty to carry the task till its completion she begins to weave a web of deceptions, manipulations and lies to achieve her objective. But, what happens when you start to loose yourself to the cause and can you ever start to see the truth clearly for what it really is?
When Hanley starts seeing the powerful, dangerous and enigmatic Elias Cari she starts to feel something she's never felt before: safe. This is not part of her plan as Elias is a means to an end. This possessive, driven and alpha male is always brutally honest. His method of dealing with liars and cheats is swift, deadly and unchallenged.
Hanley now is playing a dangerous game, one which could lead her straight into the Devil's Lair if her true identity and intentions are discovered as Elias is not a man to ever be crossed or deceived especially when he's fuelled by obsession.

Believing she can walk walk the fine line between need and want it's a game that she cannot win but how much is she willing to risk? Hanley is a woman with an agenda, a plan with an end goal in her sights. Everything managed and neatly pencilled in to the grand scheme of revenge. Set on a course of vengeance by her father for the wrongs committed against the ones she loves Hanley embodies the adage of a woman scorned. Personified wrath comes in a beautiful package swathed in determination to sacrafice anything to attain her ultimate end.
Elias the son and heir of a powerful family, owns the town and all that dwells within, his reach seemingly unending. He is an enigma, shrouded in power and hidden by his projected visage. Meeting Hanley throws a curve ball into his plans as she proved she is no easy conquest. Their relationship is a fast paced aggressive cat and mouse game of half veiled truths and hard fought battles. Neither one willing to drop their poker face and reveal the hand that fate has dealt them. Elias is the perfect mystery man with Hanley at his side this story has you questioning their reality and their motivations right to the climatic ending. Can they strip back the layers of hurt and pain to reveal the stark truth underneath? Can they triumph when so many plot against them, driven by power, greed and the need to be top dog?

Both strong and determined characters they often lose themselves in the pain if their own creation, too invovled in their own motives to reveal the truth to one another. This is a story of revenge, greed and the lengths people will go to just to win...and ultimately the cost of that selfishness. There is always a price to pay, before betting the players need to ensure they can afford the risk as the game often shifts when you least expect it!

COURTNEY LANE has been creating her own little world since she was very young. When she was eight years old, she began to bring her worlds to life with a pen and paper.
Although she's had a few short hiatuses, writing has been her passion for a number of years. Until 2013, she'd always viewed her writing as a personal hobby and a purgative process: She never thought about sharing her very personal works with anyone outside of her friends and family. She also has an affinity for characters that aren't necessarily the girl or boy next door, or the people you'd encounter in everyday life. In other words, she prefers to explore characters who aren't easy to fall in love with.
Currently, Courtney can be found either working on her next book, playing the latest role-playing game on her X-Box (preferably a game by Bioware), or spending time with her family.
