Then I proudly admit I am weak as I read this book with the shine of unshed tears from start to finish. Head the warnings as this is not a story filled with kittens and lollipops but rather a survivors retelling of horrific abuse sexually, mentally and physically.
Found in a house surrounded by 11 dead Dragons, the only one still alive, Tori is an enigma to the FBI. Is she the perpetrator, a victim or a mixture of the two? They have big plans for her...they try to manipulate her into revealing everything she knows about The Organisation. Yet all it takes is a fragile bond of trust between her and Eli to loosen her lips...
Eli is kind of her strength, she latched on to him like he is her lifeline in this strange new world she has awoken in. Eli sees her, past the scars and the ugly that has been her life. He is drawn to her and she reciprocates by retelling the tragedy of her life.
Tori was raised by a biker gang, 12 men tutored her in the different aspects of survival, then taught her she was nothing but a warm hole to satisfy their brutal needs. Fighting resulted in scars and pain so Tori battled internally, finding coping mechanisms to survive, to win. Her story is harrowing, the details so smoothly written I felt the heat of the cigarette, the coolness of the lube...the sting of the rope. Tori I fell in love with, she doesn't want pity of sympathy. She tells her story calmly and with acceptance as if the things she was made to do are normal. She doesn't see herself as a victim, her hands are stained in blood too. My heart aches for her and I can't wait to continue her story.

Picking up where book one ended, Tori is now taking her first steps away from being part of the Dragons. Settled into a new home, a new job with new people to start rebuilding her life. This part of her story deals with the aftermath of suddenly being free, to an extent as not everything is as what is seem, and the ghosts that lurk in her psyche.
Tori has a long road to travel as she realises she uses her body to feel, to then justify her need to obliterate it with alcohol...addiction claws at her and we watch as she struggles to break free. Someone from her past makes her realise her own self loathing nature and after he leaves her due to more noble intentions...she takes brave steps to tackle her issues.

This is an emotive rollercoaster of a read as we watch from the sidelines like eager parents as a newborn takes her first steps...Tori wobbles, she falls but she gets back up. Ending on a cliffhanger...what has fate got in store for her now?

This installment slows the pace down as Tori runs from Michael and embarks on a journey of discovery and acceptance. He follows her and vows to keep his promise to his beloved brother and to Terry. He said he would look after Tori so he he follows her and sticks by her regardless of her pushing him away. He cautiously re evaluates his opinion of her as he questions his brother's devotion to this hard to reach woman, who he believes is nothing more than an emotionally detached whore. By spending time with her he realises how harshly he judged her. Treating her like a dangerous cornered animal he slowly tried to win her trust,her friendship and in the process loses his heart...
Their shared journey gives Tori time to reflect on her past, her previous relationships as such, and want she truly wants to do next. She blossoms like a delicate flower in the rays of adoration that Michael bathes her her. His tentative approach makes her realise she wants more than her addiction to dirty rough sex and booze to blot out the acts. His friendship enables Tori to let go of some her ghosts, to accept them and embrace her future. They build a life, friends and a home...until events spiral once more out of control...

Whoa, Eli turns back up and her life is in turmoil...this book continues the story and just as it seems Tori may be about to get her HEA of sorts, the past reads it's ugly head and swallows her up.
Tori faces a dilemma save her family from the threat, become what she was trained for or hide. Tori chooses to do what she does best and sets off to join and eliminate The Scorpions. Donning her persona of a cold, unfeeling murderous whore she embraces who she was trained to be. She hooks up with Enrique and discovers she has missed the thrill of dirty sex, much to her own disgust. Tori launches herself back into drinking and f**king, fighting to survive and prove herself with a new group of mercenaries. The group sex, physical punishment and beatings soon earn her her status and she works her way into the ranks.
Tori plans carefully, fighting not only her darker demons to stop them pulling her back under but her need to end them all as she had The Dragons. Her time with this group provides her with an opportunity to relish the skills she was taught, learn some new ones from an unlikely source and explore herself.
Returning and playing the game on her terms empowers Tori and she emerges less broken. She takes control of her darker urges and uses her sexuality as a weapon to weaken her enemies. Her plans come to fruition and she is triumphant. She learns more of who she is and discovers that there is more to the FBI's hidden agenda.
Masterfully written with the right blend of violence and emotion that kept me hooked. Another 5 star sizzling read.

Ah Baby Girl I was shaking my head in disappointment several times throughout this installment. Don't get me wrong I love Tori, she has emerged relatively whole from her past but we see her selfishness in this story. She causes so much hurt to the ones who love her by playing up to her past and not taking ownership of her actions. The strong Tori of book 3 is lost to a woman who feels torn between nasty sex and love, blaming the ghosts of her past for inner turmoil.
I felt frustrated by her and Michael. I wanted to shake him and hoped he would turn the tables on Tori as I'm sure she wouldn't want to share her husband. Their relationship was never going to be smooth sailing but Tori just seems to enjoy the drama....
As their relationship spirals out of control, more chess pieces are being moved into play. With the FBI and The Organization closing in her book 7 is one I can't wait to read.
