Being a lover of the tv series Grey's Anatomy ..this book hit five stars for me. Set in a fast paced neurosurgery rotation with interns vying to be on Coltons surgery team, I fell in love with the atmosphere of this book.
It's a beautifully written love story, that captured my interest and held me prisoner to the end. Dr Possessive, Dr Dominant, Dr Sexy are just the few of my favourite pet names Dr Colton has. He has a reputation as Dr Dick as he has no room for professional relationships, he is Chief of Surgery and he gets want he wants...always. His past is a dark one and he fuels his highly successful career by channeling the pain from his ghosts (he has a few).
Lili, Blue, is an ex social worker who has run from her own demons and is now a case worker. Surgical rotation bring these two together and their relationship is so hot it sets off fireworks! Their relationship is intense and as the story develops we gain an insight into the main characters. They both have suffered immensely and are 'sleep running' through life, living in shades of grey until they find each other.
The supporting characters of Sierra the BFF (pregnant and sassy) Asher the childhood friend (loyal and witty) and the all hospital staff and family members all flesh out this story and add humour. There are many poignant and touching scenes and I for one thoroughly enjoyed this debut novel.

I read these 2 books in 3 days. They are long by the way but in a good way. This was a great series. Can't wait to turn the page kinda series. I fell in love with lili and chase in the very beginning. They both have secrets they don't want to tell each other. Troubled in their different ways. When you find out what happened to both of them you do cry. Love conquers all right? Just be prepared. Get the tissues and also read until you absolutely need to get up to go to work or cook dinner, even then don't. It's that good! Enjoy everyone :-)

First loves and second chances, Beautifully Done captured the essence of Beautifully Awake and continues this uplifting and heart warming love story.
Asher was the light relief in the previous book so I'm glad he is the love interest in this. Without giving too much away this is a well written gut wrenching rollercoaster ride. The TACK pack went through a lot as teenagers and this book is about their journey to overcome the ghosts of the past and find true happiness. It's about learning to accept the things you cannot change and how to move on.
It is another five star read, cannot wait to read more.
About the Authors
Needless to say, we realized fast that something had to go, so we opted for sleep. It’s completely overrated (yet so AMAZING) and delirium makes everything funnier. Good thing we share a brain and can pretty much complete each other’s sentences (definitely weird, we know), otherwise it might have taken us two years to write Beautifully Awake rather than one.
